Order Finality & Returns
At Landers Appliance, we work hard to ensure you select the right appliance the first time. Our team provides expert guidance, measurements review, and installation consultation prior to purchase to prevent surprises.
All Sales Final
- Stock (in-inventory) products are final at the time of delivery.
- Special order products are considered final once the product has been received into our warehouse.
- Appliances that have been delivered, installed, or placed into use are not eligible for return.
Order Cancellations
Stock Items:
- Orders may be canceled prior to delivery without penalty.
Special Order Items:
- Eligible for a full refund if canceled before the product is received into our warehouse.
- Once a special-order product has been received into our warehouse, the order is final and non-cancelable. On the rare circumstance that exceptions are able to be made, a minimum 30% restocking fee will apply.
Damaged Products
Damage Discovered Prior to Delivery If we discover damage before delivery and installation, we will contact you immediately to review your options before proceeding.
At Time of Delivery All appliances must be inspected and damage claims must be noted at delivery. Damage discovered after installation may not qualify for exchange.
- If visible damage is found at delivery, you may refuse the product.
- If refused, we will reorder and reschedule delivery.
- If you choose to accept a damaged product, we will discuss available manufacturer damage allowance or credit options, if applicable.
Warranty Administration and Customer Support
Manufacturer’s Warranty and Landers Support Landers Appliance is fully committed to upholding the manufacturer’s warranty terms. Should your appliance face any issues, we will provide the necessary services as stipulated by the warranty. Manufacturers adopt a service-first policy, preferring to repair products in the home rather than replace them. The manufacturers are attempting to ensure that any problems are addressed efficiently and with minimal inconvenience to you.
In instances where you might seek exceptions or additional services beyond the standard warranty provisions, Landers Appliance stands ready to assist. We will support you by furnishing the requisite documentation and guidance for your direct communication with the manufacturer. While the decisions regarding warranty exceptions rest with the manufacturer, we will facilitate your request to the best of our ability, ensuring you have the support you need along the way.
Digital Documentation To further support your experience with your new appliance, we can provide digital copies of your warranty and use-and-care guides upon request. These documents are valuable resources for understanding your appliance's functionality, care requirements, and the specifics of your warranty coverage.
Installation Services & Potential Additional Charges
Our service estimates assume a standard installation environment (NO SURPRISES). However, should any of the following situations occur, additional charges may be applied:
- Home Door Removals If the removal of interior or exterior doors is necessary for appliance installation.
- Appliance Door Removals If appliance doors must be taken off to fit into the designated space.
- Appliance Disassembly If disassembly of the existing and/or new appliance is required due to home renovations.
- Furniture Movement If we need to relocate furniture or large items to access the installation area.
- Appliance Relocation If moving an appliance from one room to another is required, exceeding the scope of a standard installation.
- Door Swing Modification If the appliance's door swing needs reconfiguration.
- Parts Replacement If unexpected replacement of damaged components like hoses or vents is required.
- Plumbing or Electrical Work If previously undiscovered plumbing or electrical work (for which you may have to hire a plumber or electrician) is needed to complete the installation.
- Measurement Corrections If customer-provided measurements are found to be inaccurate, requiring additional work.
- Trim and Cabinetry Adjustments If trim removal or cabinetry adjustments are necessary for appliance fitting.
- Missed Appointments If customers are unavailable during the agreed-upon scheduled installation window.
- Additional Hardware If the installation of hardware or accessories not included in the quote is requested.
These scenarios represent the most common conditions that might affect the final total balance due. Please note that this list is not exhaustive, and other specific circumstances may also result in additional fees. We will communicate any changes to the service estimate promptly and clearly before proceeding with any additional work.
Limited Liability Waivers
While Landers Appliance will be as cautious as possible in removing the old appliance(s) and performing the delivery and/or installation of your new appliance(s), there is inherent risk involved in this scope of work. As such, the installation team may require the signing of our Limited Liability Waivers as needed before proceeding. Refusal to sign the respective waiver may result in the cancellation of the sale.
Job Completion and Refunds
In rare cases where we discover that we cannot complete a job, we will issue a refund for the portion of work that was quoted, charged, but not completed. Please understand that our quotes are estimates based on the information we have at the time and the visible conditions of the installation site. They are not contracts, but good faith estimates of the cost should we be able to complete the job.
Delivery Policy
We provide delivery services exclusively within our defined local service area and do not ship to P.O. Boxes or locations outside of the state. For special order products, you will be notified promptly once the item arrives at our warehouse. All delivery scheduling is coordinated directly by our team to ensure a smooth and efficient experience.
Shipping & Handling Charges
Delivery, installation, and haul-away fees are determined at the time of purchase based on product type, delivery conditions, and requested services. These fees are non-refundable once services are performed.
Sales Tax
All sales are subject to 6% Maryland sales tax in accordance with state law. We do not process out-of-state sales.
Payment Authorization
By placing an order with Landers Appliance, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined above. You authorize your payment provider to process charges in accordance with these terms. We reserve the right to cancel orders at our discretion.
